picpto I need this file as the version of the micro pro software,needs to match the firmware version on the k board. The BIG advantage of Kit is that all the intelligence is in firmware on board the kit.

After you get the kit going then upgrade to the latest version by programming the firmware with the appropriate hex file from the latest version, replacing the firmware IC then running the latest MicroPro. All the code is on floppy disk.

Non of these files are executable. I have just had a look at some of the zip files for other versions of the software and they contain several more files. The software and firmware issues k1550 this programmer have been a nightmare. I have a k programmer that has previously worked ,on an old laptop running windows xp.
I have tried the buy here 22 software and it doesn't work with my programmer. It is frustrating as it did work on a laptop running windows xp 32 bit.

One was an LCD version the other, a 8 digit seven segment multiplexed display version. No program's installed that could even open them ,let alone install anything.
Clearly, if NONE of the leds wink, there is a communication problem to the programmer, USB drivers, cable etc, although the internal PIC chip could also be inserted pcipro or be otherwise defective.
